Kodama Bones

The subject matter of this painting is of a very ancient yet still living juniper tree found on one of the Finerty islands near Lasqueti Island.  The Kodama in the title refers to the tree spirits in Japanese folklore that are said to inhabit particularly anthropomorphic trees.
