"Above the Highest Tide"

The photo taken by the artist for the inspiration for this painting was of a beach on the west coast of Lasqueti Island, BC. The small boat was the dinghy the artist, as a child, rowed about on sailing trips with her family up the BC coast. The dinghy is now used for cod jigging and teaching the children to row in. The photo was taken in September, 2018. The painting was started in September, 2018 and completed in June 2019.
